A warm welcome to Wakefield Wildcats Netball Club
Wakefield Wildcats Netball Club was co-founded in 2006 by Diane Guy. Since then, the club has played competitively in the West Yorkshire County Netball and Netball Yorkshire Regional Leagues at both junior and senior levels.
|
The Club was awarded Gold CAPS status by England Netball (EN); this is the highest level of achievement within the EN CAPS scheme.
The Club Action Planning Scheme (CAPS) is aligned to the Sport England Clubmark accreditation scheme which is the only national cross sports quality accreditation scheme for clubs with junior sections |
|
Currently we have approx 180 members, comprising of both junior and seniors, playing competitively. Our junior section takes players from Y5 - Y11. Seniors from 16 upwards
Our aim is to provide performance-based netball training so that players can develop their knowledge, skills and athleticism to the highest standard to help them reach their full potential, appropriate to a player’s age and ability. |
The club has development squads across every age group, so all levels of netball are provided for, including Back to Netball sessions. All our players are encouraged to challenge themselves, to have fun and make new friends along the way. We have a highly skilled and enthusiastic UKCC fully qualified Coaching Team lead by Diane Guy who is our Head Coach (UKCC Level 3).
We encourage and support our players who are interested in gaining qualifications in both officiating and coaching, enabling players to gain valuable transferable skills.
We would love to hear from you if you are interested in Wakefield Wildcats NC.
Please note: Our Junior Section is currently fully subscribed and we are no longer accepting any enquiries.
However, we are still accepting enquiries for our Senior Section.
If you are aged 17+ and interested in joining us please complete the initial enquiry form which can be found in Contact Us
In the meantime, you can find more information about us, in our Club Handbook which can be found in ‘Club Info/Policies.’
